Had a cracking weekend. Weather held off which was good as had famiy over watching from spain so wasnt wanting them to be watching in the rain.

Car went the best it ever has, the set up has dropped my pb down by half a second! Everything seemed to go pretty smoothly aswell (well apart from y rain light failling scrutineering, so had to steal a spare from russ paton).

Cant wait to get my new gearbox in for the next round as been waiting since november for parts, so hoping shall be in for then and can hopefully see the times drop some more.

Organisation was brilliant from the guys at knockhill and thanks to the marshalls as always. Great day 👍

Some really impressive times coming in this year, Class E looks like its going to be the one to watch I think in terms of competitiveness.

8 cars covered by under 1.5 seconds and less that a second over the top 4....... jings!

Congratulations on the win Adam, I Had a good weekend, but not too successful.
Practice and Warm-up car went really well no problems, set some OK times for me I think.

In Qualifying, I managed half a lap and blew a boost hose which hasn't happened in years! I must have missed a clamp when putting the engine back in. So I thought Id just take it on the chin and miss the qualy points and focus on the Final.

Final came. Car felt really good, genuinely felt like I was on a flyer, then dropped from 4th to 3rd braking into Clark and the gearstick hit the dashboard! broken gear cable, couldn't believe it! absolutely gutted, it knocked it into neural so couldn't complete the lap. Mad

Such a stupid problem to have but out of my control!

Hope everyone else made it through the weekend OK and will see you all at the double header!!

A new set of cables should improve the shift quality, Probably worth changing the bushes and rod ends at the gearbox too. Elise Shop stock them

I fitted a rose jointed the gearbox linkage on my yellow car, made an incredible improvement alongside upgraded Elise-shop cables as mentioned above.

Also got the main shifter box in the cabin strengthened up and filleted etc to reduce the slop as much as possible.

All of those combined to transform the gearchange, the Honda conversions are notoriously mixed, presume the VX has similar improvements available?

Thanks for the info. Funny thing is I installed a new gearbox along with new shift linkage and bushes over winter. Its also Elise Shop cables im using which is a bummer as i bought them thinking they are pretty much fit and forget.
I have managed to get hold of a spare shifter box so think Ill see what can be done to strengthen it.
No matter, just one if those things..i have a spare cable and will have it in for the SIDC day on Saturday.
