Alex, a spare wheel will be fine in the Audi.[/quote]

Rennie. You and I obviously now have a wheel jinx so should stay off the subject--my post 're range rover wheel was a response to Paul Tomlinson who has a weight problem. I dont or at least my car doesnt. Lol

What's the deal with the 1000+ bhp GTR tomorrow? Is it competing?

There was a post on the Knockhill FB page about it, was a bit vague tbh.

Firstly a big congratulations to Colin on his first sls outing. What a fantastic result, great times and what a really great guy. I look forward to seeing him in July.
I had a great day but sadly my best time was the first session where I wasn't trying and was merely collecting data. Times for second session and qualifying were disappointing and I was puzzled as it felt as though I was flying. I was as high as a kite after the final as I again thought I was charging but spun off through Duffus and took too long to correct then braked too late for the hairpin and went wide. What could have been who knows.
Anyway, a big thanks to everyone in the paddock and the organisers and sponsors who have set up a great event. A special thanks to Rab Jobson who is on my case and has been from day 1 last year. He also should be congratulated for what he has done with Disability Motorsport and his hard work has culminated in bringing Colin to Knockhill yesterday.
This all sounds like a victory speech or Oscar ceremony but it has to be said. I love this event and the people it brings together.
Sorry, I have no video footage to contribute as technobia prevailed again.

I had a great weekend again, great folk, great weather (mostly) and great event.

Its such a different feeling to SMRC paddock... not as serious but still competitive.

I now you think there's a 53 there but we're you happy with performance? Time looks great

I'm always critical LOL and was raging with the lap in the final.

Just watching vids now.

First hot lap of the day was a 55.0 and i coasted round the hairpin - low boost
Practice was just a mess - no clear laps, 2x red flags
Qualy - did 1 single hot lap after leaving pits and made 2 sizable mistakes - 54.6, still not full power
Final - ballsed the start of the lap with a couple of attempts at a gear so lost a tenth or two there, then hit the gate for 3rd at the hairpin later and was a bit lost on the gears for a few secs :S another slize of time lost - 55.0 though, BUT I thought I had lost it!

Happy with result, but not especially happy with my driving and times.

Congratulations on the win Adam, I Had a good weekend, but not too successful.
Practice and Warm-up car went really well no problems, set some OK times for me I think.

In Qualifying, I managed half a lap and blew a boost hose which hasn't happened in years! I must have missed a clamp when putting the engine back in. So I thought Id just take it on the chin and miss the qualy points and focus on the Final.

Final came. Car felt really good, genuinely felt like I was on a flyer, then dropped from 4th to 3rd braking into Clark and the gearstick hit the dashboard! broken gear cable, couldn't believe it! absolutely gutted, it knocked it into neural so couldn't complete the lap. Mad

Such a stupid problem to have but out of my control!

Hope everyone else made it through the weekend OK and will see you all at the double header!!

Craig, that's so unlucky mate, hopefully better fortunes for you next round!

I had a great weekend, great to be out again. Massive thanks to Allan Kay for trusting me with his Supercopa which was awesome. Some seriously good competition throughout the classes this year.
