So that's all the information out and numbers appear low: 19 mini, 15 legends, 9 fiesta, 13 classic, 12 formula ford, 14 S&S (2 R53 Mini) and 15 bmw registered.

Overall just under 100 drivers but i would say but looking forward to great weekend and lots of fun. Who else is out as I am out for first time in my newly refurbished spingly looking car - whether it looks as good post race...

pics/videos/tragic tales/what might be's post weekend

I think there will be more register through the season as they manage to finish their cars etc. Disappointed by the low numbers in Fiestas especially. I was hoping that the cheaper suspension options would encourage more entries. Not sure why the BMWs are down, the engines are standard, nothing else expensive has changed and BMW Racedays have lost their control over equipment supply, so costs should have reduced
Legends are showing a good recovery though, and we're expecting a few more Mini Cooper S cars to appear soon.

yeh to be honest as i have said many times i dont have either the youth spent hooning or the part of my brain that doesnt think of consequences. i hit 40 fancied trying something new and picked the cheap option of car racing...

This means that when it comes to confidence its something i have built up rather than just *bam* drive nuts - this shows in the improvements in time then going backwards with each accident. However i will say getting in the car for first time felt epic and either i am more comfortable or else was also the rebuild but it all just felt so much nicer to drive. That was with pap breaks, stock EUC and no spoiler amongst other things too

I guess we will find out as I have performance coaching thursday with Sasha (ulp), then saturday testing and then Sunday racing. If weather stays dry i am hoping to poke low 1:04 or else 1:03 :p

Unsure if i want coaching to be in wet or dry as i have still never driven outside of a race in wet in any car around a track. As much as i want to push on in dry coaching wise i also really want to learn how to drive in wet.

Is it wrong to dream for an all day trackday thats wet? Sad

I'll be out with the Formula Fords. First proper outing for the new car - just hope we've worked through *all* the loose nuts and bolts now!

Hopefully we should see a few more folks on the grid for the next weekend - there a few faces missing that have been out testing but haven't entered the first races. I wonder if the new dropped score system has taken the pressure off for those not 100% ready??
