Dates - http://www.superlapscotland.co.uk/calendar.htm

Regs - http://www.superlapscotland.co.uk/docs/SLS_2017_Regulations_Prov1.pdf

Starter Pack - http://www.superlapscotland.co.uk/docs/SLS_2017_StarterPack.pdf

Note the usual *provisional* comments until things are finalised (MSA etc).

Key Points...

Price per round is up 5, but still a good saving on the season entry - esp if you pay early.

Rolling Road test centre has changed - more details to follow when I get some. Its now RA Motorsport in Perth.

'Declared Modifications' - You need to inform officials if you alter the car.

'Declared Boost' - You need to state max boost, and this is logged on test sheet.

7 Rounds....

Rolling road changing to RA in Perth could make things 'very' interesting.

Anyone already right at the top of their power to weight class, or those who are working on winter plans (based on last years WHP) with the intention of being right at the top of the class, could then suddenly find themselves either at the bottom on the next class up or adding a heap of ballast.

No experience of RA dyno but most found HQ to be a heart breaker. A more generous dyno and baselines for estimating required power increase are up in the air.

Yup, they are aware of this and the classes may be tweaked a little to keep the majority as they were.

I.e if there is a 5% upwards trend for all tested, the classes will be tweak to reflect this.

Rory said they were testing a sample of cars to get some data. He mentioned they were comparable, but I have no experience of RA figures either... just know that HQ were 'low' or gave high % losses.

In short.... they're on it.

Done it. Just signed up for full season in TT. Some mods done--brakes again with Vagbremtechnic front discs, competition haldex controller and dogbone mount. The controller works but the real test is yet to be carried out on track. Can't wait for the Trackscotland outing on the 25th and hopefully i dont need to revert to the factory Haldex controller.
Have a great year everyone.

Is it 'mapable' (adjustable) or just a fixed state? I think it'll make the car much more pointy Smile

Wind it right off front when dry
Retain some front when wet

Out old GTR 4wd controller was adjustable like that - just a rotary switch, but they are much more advanced these days. Our Impreza centre diff uses a few different inputs and a 'map' to determine its lockup rate

Not adjustable. There are 3 setting options on other versions but I went for track as it was the only one that keeps rear engaged under braking (and most expensive). It is an alltime 50/50 distribution but still keeps other aids like abs/traction control if you want it. After I spoke with you last year and you mentioned it in general I googled and came up with the HPA module which reads well. We'll see.

Well Done to Knockhill on retaining and increasing the number and quality of sponsors but the sunstrip will be interesting as I could hardly see out of my screen last year with less sponsors and a great big competitor number below.

Visibility is overrated Very Happy

I'd imagine the door panel will get the larger items and sunstrip will not be any deeper
