Do you need both parts of your driving license or just the photo card

there is only one part of a license now the paper should be destroyed Smile serves no purpose.

https://www.gov.uk/government/news/driving-licence-changes

'The paper counterpart to the photocard driving licence was abolished on 8 June 2015, so how you view your licence information has changed.'

It sounds more daunting than it is really i have always been in lower powered cars and i would say its easier if you watch your mirrors and get a feel for speed of cars.

I did notice at the last trackday they appear to be getting a lot stricter with track limits and driving however

Good post.

I have taken the decision to miss racing/trackdays etc this season due to carrying out my house renovations & the oil down turn affecting the house value & borrowing limits, I will use the race costs on the house too.

Any news?

I see Knockhill are saying today was closed but I am heading to Dunfermline tomorrow to get suspension set up so hopefully not a wasted journey......

Nothing decided yet. Forecast for tonight is rain and above freezing which should see the snow buggering off but it's the Knockhill microclimate so you just never know.

Looks pretty deep snow there just now. There was snow in Dunfermline yesterday.

Put it this way - I'm planning on heading up to Knockhill to go sledging tomorrow. Very Happy

What a bunch of drama queens Rolling Eyes

Knockhill will provide us with an update later and we'll then pass this on.

There is (or was) snow there yesterday...the forecast for today is to remain above freezing and for rain later on. It is expected that this will get rid of the snow, but TBC. The temperatures overnight are also to remain above freezing, so that should help.

Forecast for tomorrow is looking like rain in the morning clearing up around the time our trackday starts so it should be a nice dry afternoon although the track is likely to be damp

So...put on your big girl pants and get your cars ready broom broom

Update from Knockhill

Quote:

**ALL Activities on 25th February - Update **

We have been working hard all day clearing snow and preparing the venue for this weekend’s activities. The rain has started to fall as forecast and the thaw is well and truly on! At this moment it's looking good and we are planning to run all activities as scheduled including Teen Drive and the Car Trackday in the afternoon. If anything changes overnight that may affect the safe running of the track we will post again first thing in the morning.

If you have a Karting event booked, please call us in the morning from 9am for further updates.
Thanks

I spoke with them earlier and we're all confident tomorrow will be going ahead.
The forecast is for rain and higher temperatures during the night which should get rid of the snow.
The rain should hopefully then be easing off in time for the afternoon...perfect timing!

I have asked for a further update before 8am tomorrow so ask that if you are booked on to the trackday you check your email / the forum / Facebook in the morning to see if there has been any further announcement.
