I am looking to start track days but have never actually done 1 and was wondering on the mix of cars that will be at this event
By the looks of it they are mainly track specific and not road cars
Just don't want to book and turn up in my r53 mini and hold every one back or be in the way any advice would be good
I have done supercar driving days but not this
Cheers Craig |

Normally the majority of cars will be road based cars rather than 'race' cars.
We dont limit it either way, thats just how it naturally comes.
I wouldnt let that put you off though, as being completely honest you will learn 10x more following someone who races often than you will on a supercar day with inexperienced guys in quick cars.
On TS days we also tend to cycle through the same folk with a handful of new faces every trackday. This seems to keep folk sensible and considerate towards others and folk new to the track.
If you have any questions about the trackday, feel free to drop me an email ak@trackscotland.co.uk
Of the list above (now bigger)... prob 3 cars are actively raced, 50% are 'trackday' cars... rest road. Its a grey line between trackday cars and road cars though.... _________________ Impreza Race Car - SLS/SMRC

and if you ever find people are , to be blunt, driving like dicks just have a word with adam/Fiona/marshalls and they will have a quiet word with them. It sounds more daunting than it is really i have always been in lower powered cars and i would say its easier if you watch your mirrors and get a feel for speed of cars.
I did notice at the last trackday they appear to be getting a lot stricter with track limits and driving however _________________ http://www.youtube.com/user/andybalcairn/ to see how bad I drive!!! |
