The links Fee posted:

First one is a Challenge-ish spec R53, second is a Challenge spec R56. Both would race in the Open class in MINI Challenge.

Neither suitable really the proposed S class up here.

ETA: 30k+ are the latest F56 JCW Challenge cars. 300hp, sequential box etc etc

The grey car was going well on Saturday. Assume it was supercharged.

As this is a New Spec No cars exist currently.

Possibly easiest and cheapest method: Purchase an existing Scottish Cooper car then buy a donor Cooper S.

Alternatively build a new race car.

I'm doing both a conversion and a new car.

fascinating and be interesting to see them in the flesh and what times can be had with slicks and that extra power circa 50% more. I think personally need to know how to drive what I have before anything else but perhaps a way as people have said of getting new blood that wouldn't consider a mini.

With that in mind a season in regular Minis may be a decent option... with a view to upgrading to S spec later (Fee)

The Technical Regs are basically as Davv has posted. Looks like a good upgrade path for existing Scottish cars, or a new build.

There's a few folks thinking of going down this route, so hopefully a decent class within S&S for 2017 and then see where it goes for 2018.

Be interesting what happens to existing mini's as i imagine you couldnt have them both on same grid with power differential/length of track and the existing grid is maxxed. But there is always people coming/going at will and with some of other classes suffering in numbers would grids be combined... (not gonna say which ones to not cause offense heh)

I think its a great idea alot of people would be happy to stay in existing class, some would want to move up and i guess some people would want to see who is going up before deciding etc..

Great idea to get them up and running in SMRC and show it all off i think alot of people will want to see them going

If anyone does fancy a shot in a mini let me know Smile I would definitely ignore the power aspect they are hella fun and you have to be hardcore on it all the time.
