Cheers, he just got back to me.
Was starting to panic that I hadn't bought the track day lol.
Hopefully it's dry, playing with my mates 400bhp golf r for the first time tomorrow, will make my old Impreza feel slow😢

was a good day and the track was dry surprisingly - the slight drizzle didn't appear to be enough to cause any slippness. It appears when you get into the mini you go into hooligan mode but I am at the shouting at old people rather than beating them up stage. Looking at the lap traces I am at least consistent (never managed that in Caterham) but consistently a few seconds off pace.

Not going so bad considering new to car but really it comes down brain needing to be disengaged more and less coasting. With luck a race rendered video follows at some point over weekend.

Good day, amazed it stayed dry or even was dry given how crap the weather was this morning on the way to the circuit.

I didn't see a flippin drop of rain all day until I got back over the bridge.
Having put all my dry gear in the car thinking to change to semi-slicks up there, I took that all out of the car this morning when I saw the forecast. Should've stuck to plan A.

So now I have a couple of well-smeared road tyres. Ach well, I had a ball.

The wee white R was fast! Took me a lot of boot to keep up with it. Nice.

Lots of audis there today too. Several in the car park and several TTs on track, myself and then 120,364 lotuses.
I think there was a blue scooby there, to represent! Smile

With a mighty 130hp the "ease off a bit" they mentioned in the briefing still usually leaves us hanging Laughing

I was the sole blue Scooby there today! She was going well all day. Didn't have much confidence in the brakes today for some reason so didn't get to properly test the anti lift kit.
I was driving the white golf r later in the day aswel, for being a standard set up with brakes/tyres/suspension it goes well and the dsg box is phenomenal.
The noise from the white vantage v12s was amazing.
No rain until hit Glasgow, then hit what seemed like rush hour traffic?

Ah, yes I did try letting you by but I kept catching up again. I reckon we were lapping about identical times - I was doing 61's and 62's on my silly road tyres.

I was there in a blue Clio, turned up about an hour before the end. First time out in the car since getting her on Thursday. 2nd lap in the rear stepped out and I was 360ing down duffas lol. Turns out I had 10psi in both rear tyres. Oops

Talking of oops.... with the garages not fully open, it was some extra effort to go fetch the torque wrench after each session and instead of my usual diligence, I left it a couple of sessions.
Went out agin and felt some vibration from the front. Came straight in to find all 5 bolts on the NSF were all just finger tight, if that!! Shocked Shocked
Sure they are wobble bolts, but they're not meant to wobble like that!

Could have been orrible!
