I'd prob suggest buying something off EBAY and selling it again afterwards Laughing

Hiring a car for a 4hr track session (with that in mind, and known by the owner) wont be cheap.

kenny and craig nobel at minimax have minis you can hire, iain cowie racing has XR2's and fiesta St's, think david & tim sleigh still have a mini hire car and if you fancy going sideways a lot then Willy Toye has triumph TR8's with lovely V8 engines and no power steering, there is also aly hunter at legends racing that will hire you a pocket rocket

dont know about normal trackdays but all the above do hire drives for racing

Minimax say they do trackday hires from 375+vat all inclusive....

I do something similar with my MG ZS but is more low key and is not a race spec car.

Not so much hire out, I charge a set fee for 3-4 drivers to cover fuel/track/wear. So guys from the MGZS site can enjoy driving the car they love on the track without risking their own car.... I always go as I like to drive too Very Happy

Do they let the Legends on normal trackdays though? Done the unrestricted one about 6 years ago, was bloody good fun (although, very little track time for the )

same senario as folk that dont take out track insurance (majority).

I'd think hire companies or companies that hire cars would have the correct insurance policies on place, liability etc.

Pretty much. I am essentially taking the risk letting others drive the car so I have to trust that things will go well! Many think I'm crazy but I do it so people can experience the hobby I love at smaller cost and no risk to their own car. The amount I charge covers cost plus a little for wear and tear. If all goes well and no incidents occur, I wont be out of pocket should the worst happen.
