Knockhill ran the track in reverse at the start of the year for the rally event with a temporary chicane at the tri oval. seemed like a good set up.

It would be good to get a 4 hour track session with 2 hrs in each direction, 2 tracks for the price of 1.

Just as long as they get everyone off before starting the reverse laps. Otherwise...!!! Shocked Shocked Shocked Twisted Evil

I was thinking about how half the time in each direction would be good as well.

Or a double header, one day one way the the next day the other - Could camp and get drunk the night in between Cool

Dunc.

1 full day of 2x 4hr events or 2 x 4hr days.....

I dont think we'd run an 8hr event on our own again Laughing

I enjoyed the last one, the track was empty after all the time attack guys left Very Happy I know it wasnt very good money wise for that day Sad

If we do run in reverse would it be a good idea to do 10 min sighter sessions (separate the cars into groups) at the beginning of the day like SIDC do on their regular track days? Then once everyone has had a chance to get their eye in, move to the open pit lane?

I think the reverse circuit will be excellent but is going to be a big learning curve for those trying for the first time but are used to the circuit the other way. Also, I suspect leaving the pits with that trough in the way may be interesting. Wouldn't want to be accellerating over that....

I'm not convinced about the 2 hours one way and 2 hours the other...I think it might just be a bit too much to take in!
I'd prefer a 4 hour event so that you can have plenty of time to learn the track and have time for sighting laps at the start

Question - In reverse would passing be on the left or the right? If its the right it will feel weird!

i'd assume the same side of the track (so now left) ..... pull to inside of the track to be passed.

That's a good idea Merlin, otherwise it might get a wee bit hairy!

From an entertainment point an 'open' hairpin would cause all sorts of mayhem. Very Happy

Forgot about the man made chicane that was put in at the rally stage.

It's gotta be interestingly good. Literally like a new track. Thumbs Up
