still havent heard back from them regarding dates so phoned and asked why..

anyway... ended up speaking to the director of the RHASS centre.

They dont sound too keen on track events this year and said the price was 3x what it was last year. :O

Still do-able... but strange they arent so keen.

If we go ahead with that I'd be demanding support staff and track repairs for the price increase. They said they were losing money with the amount of 'support' they gave in the past.

I flatly told them we didnt have any bar they guy letting us get cones Laughing

Should be called back tomorrow to discuss dates - will keep you informed.

That's a pretty shameful attitude from them. I'm not sure what the cost was for the event last year but I felt we left it needing no work to be done and they didn't appear to have any direct costs for us having the event there so every penny of revenue from the rental should be straight to the bottom line. What an odd attitude from them.

Maybe time to step up the pressure on Boyndie?

yup.... thats my exact thoughts....

If we didnt have the event they would have still had the same outlay (1 guy on the gate/site). No valid reason.

Last year was cheap (400ish or so) but we did make a bit of money to make up for the 8hr KH disaster Laughing

A 10 increase and more cars should see it work though.

Boyndie and Alford are looking good though Laughing

You could try Golsipe too, although think they are similar to Boyndie in that as its a go kart track and gets used a lot they dont bother with private track day hire Sad

I would imagine Alford will be fine, alot of clubs use it!

I like the idea of the sprint events as I fancied trying a few this year so if you guys are organising this it saves me entering the proper hillclimbs/sprints Laughing

Can't see why Boyndie would be keen for a sprint day as I thought they used track hire like this to keep the club going. They also spent a bit of money on the track to include a super moto off road bit for the bike's.
