whats the banter?

Gutted I couldnt be there - I need to prove to myself that I can get a 58 in the Impreza. WP fitted it in to get it fixed for Fee to use but she went and donked her head and spent the night in hospital Laughing numpty. So she wasnt on track either!

Doh Doh Doh

It was unsurprisingly wet as hell, despite that the rest of southern scotland seemed to be bathed in sunshine.

Also VERY VERY slippy, Adam, you'd never have got near a 60s lap I don't think. Every single corner was a potential spin, as I'm sure others will agree. Knowing you, you'd have been off 3 times each lap Razz

Just reviewing the vids from those tiny cams - looking good despite the spray. I'll upload asap, once I watch the Apprentices make themselves look stupid Smile

Good manners from all as usual tho Thumbs Up

As said, very very wet! Still got a good number of thoroughly enjoyable passenger laps, thanks to the gents with the TVR, Elise and the Superlight for taking me out!

Commiserations to Fee, when she said "I was in hospital last night" I didnt realise she meant overnight :p Hope the heads better soon!

Was a great time for my first one. Sorry I never introduced myself to any of you but I knew the guy in the superlight so spent my off track time blagging passenger rides! The prelude was fun but nothing compared to that luminous yellow rocket!!

vids do look good despite that the wee cams were pretty waterlogged by the end of it. They live on, tho! Unreal for a tenner.

First upload will take a mindnumbing 3 hours to upload. Sad I'll queue the rest up before I hit the sack.

I might have seemed like I was holding peeps up for a half a lap at times, but I was trying to make sure I got a fair bit of you on video, for your own enjoyment. I don't think I was terribly slow tho - my new brakes didn't get too much of a workout as it was so wet. And I actually have rubber left on my inside front tyre, which was unexpected Smile

Fee was looking fine, if a little sheepish - twas only a flesh wound Very Happy

alistair, did you have a wet suit on? teehee

Fantastic night, big thanks Adam/Fee for the organisingings Thumbs Up Sorry I didn't really speak to anyone either but there's a lot to fit into the 2 hours!

Really impressed with the behaviour on track, everyone was great and the lack of red flags (especially given the weather) was excellent.

Agree with the others, got pretty slippy out there. No matter what I did I couldn't do anything other than slight twitch/total tankslapper at Clark's. Those damn cones were right on my line Laughing

Also a wee sorry to anyone in the line of 3/4 cars that caught me just at Clark's on a slow outlap towards the end, felt like I couldn't get out the way in time Embarassed

Haha, no but I got pretty wet! Ironically the TVR with a screen worse than the caterham without!

Worth it for the noise though!

CHeers for a great day folks..

Lynn (the burd's cousin, whose 21st present this was) had an awesome time!

I actually enjoyed the wet laps I got in (I was only driving 1/3 of the time) as the cars lack of power meant you could still be brave with the throttle Very Happy

Aside from a front caliper loosening off Shocked the car was bloody good- the ATE superblue made a lot of difference to brake feel on the track.

As per usual, apologies if anyone was held up by my car- I had a trackday novice in it for a bit.

Hats off to the open topped car folks- rather you than I Surprised

Thanks everyone for a great day, don't think any flags were out which is great considering the conditions.

Thought i would introduce myself, I was the guy in the Dayglo Yellow Caterham.

First outing on track in the new car, it seemed like a good idea looking out the window to a sunny Aberdeen to bunk off early and head to Knockhill. Sunny all the way down until a mile from the circuit, typical.

I still had a lot of fun, conditions were too bad for quick laps so just used half throttle on straights and hooned around.

If anyone has any videos/pictures please let me know, much appreciated.

Alan

Got you passing me on the straight at the end of my first (rear-facing) upload mate Smile Just another 2 hours to wait. Sad

I was in the black S4 btw, with micro-cams stuck all over it.

Thoroughly enjoyed my first track night with the TrackScotland gang despite the rain. Thanks to Adam and Fee for organising.
