so you think you`ll have another outing there then? Seemed alot more chilled out than knockhill, dont know what it is but just sometimes feels abit all go and franctic at knockhill. Was really happy with how chilled out it was there and hope you do have a few more events there.

I though that for the bigger powered cars the coarse seemed very tight and maybe a change of track using the wider roads like where many peoples trailers etc were parked could be used someway for better runs out of the corners somehow. A birdeye view of the area would be good to try get a few ideas down before hand?

Hands & forearms hurts a bit.
Think it was constant correction of the over/under steer at every turn & holding the wheel too tight for fear of touching grass Very Happy

Next time we should add some cones in the straights to slalom & donut around & call it a gymkana Laughing

Just looking at all my VBOX data combined!

My lap that i spun on the exit of the banked corner at the end of the straight was quicker than my 1:04 (vbox) / 1:05 stopwatch timed lap Mad

0.5s up on the apex of the banked corner. That lap also had my highest top speed of 88.96mph

Don't know what we've done, but Adam and I both feel like cripples! My legs are in agony!

You's were always bending down to write the times in, maybe thats whats done it ? Since the muscle isn't used to it. Plus the driving on track and to and from Ingliston

I'd like to add my thanks to Adam and Fee for a cracking day - more enjoyable than Knockhill I would say!
Despite it showing a fair few short-comings in my driving ability, or should I say lack of, it was an awesome day. Getting used to the torque delivery with this new engine was hard, it's very tail happy now, I couldn't run any less boost neither and I haven't mapped it for more boost.....yet! Shocked

I need to seriously put in an effort to sort the brakes to, again it just wanted to step out under braking which was interesting but fun!

I would like to apologise to all for the mud and grass I dragged onto the track, sorry if this ruined anyones run. Embarassed

Adam, not taking anything away from your commitment or driving but your car is perfect for Ingliston.....so light and nimble and perfect power I'd say, the map helps to. Razz

Adam, what happens if you put the S/F line at the 0 mph start point?
You have it on the slowdown into the first corner, which gives me a 1.06 dead if I use that spot. Smile

light!?! Its not light! I was able to breath fresh air through my luxury electric windows!

Nimble - its got a bit of a blunt/numb front end now but grips more (since wide track). Was prob too nimble before with same cambers/castor etc - almost skitty

The gearing is spot on though Very Happy any longer straights and i'd have been toast Laughing

Did mikes vid work? One of you could have used Fee's cage mount and camera - she didnt bother to use it Laughing

Map - car is a bit worse for wear again. Wont idle (since mike used it Wink ). Need to see which parts/gaskets are leaking this time - and or check the idle speed again

using the start/finish line (as close as i can get it!) and no rolling start gives

Me - 1:05.30 (1:05.50 stop watch)
David - 1:06.50 (1:06.58 stop watch)
Doug - 1:07.10 (1:08.25 stop watch)
Fee - 1:07.20 (1:07.50 stop watch)

Seems you got the roughest deal with the stop watch Laughing

thinking aloud - the stop watch will include any driver reactions after the 'GO' or hand drop

Thanks to AK and Fee for organising the day and thanks to the "Chef's" for cooking lunch it was far better than the BP garage had to offer!
Have to agree that it was more relaxed than Knockhill and it was great to see more of the cars than just the finish straight at Knockhill, also good to get a chat with some of you guys. I've got a few half decent pics that i'll upload when i get the chance.
My Fiat did much better than i expected, for a heavy fwd GT car with tall gearing. I think it was the driver letting it down in the end. Hopefully keep up a bit better at Knockhill where the corners aren't so tight.
Off to look for new front tyres now, to replace my shredded Eagle F1's....
