Anyone else considering entering?

I know floof is on on a project and should be driving it in 2012 (is that right)?

Do you need a space rocket to enter basically? Looks like mildly tuned cars are wasting their time?

nope..

There are different classes.

The traditionally lower classes were a lot better this year - F/I FWD for example.

Not overly sure on the NA classes but it used to be Sub 3.0 NA, and 3.0 above NA (drive train not limited)

So... to my knowledge these are the classes

F/I 4WD
F/I FWD
F/I RWD
N/A <3.0
N/A >3.0

Club Pro F/I 4WD
Club Pro F/I RWD

Pro

Be good to get a team going Very Happy Maybe see abouy some sponsorship for TS liveried cars Laughing

I'm keen on entering T/A in 2011 but that n/a class 3.0 split is a piss take!

1.8-2.0 would split would make more sense surely or have >2.0/2-3/3 or 3.2+ litre classes for n/a?

its not that big a class so splitting it further wouldnt give much competition to a lot of folk.

Speak to Glen, Rob or Andy @ timeattack.co.uk if you have suggestions on classes.

They used to run FWD/RWD/4WD NA classes... but I think its an area that can still be improved Smile

I've been toying with the idea of doing a one hit wonder at KH. The M3 fits the sub 3.0 n/a class though the standard this year was pretty high eg Dan Gannons M3. Im still some way off the pace on R888s so my aim would have to be not to come last !

Im not totally sure of Time Attack Regs, is an in date seat, hans etc compulsory for club class ?

Running as per MSA speed event modified classes would be a better idea... +40% in cc's for boosted cars etc.

Yep our mini will hopefully be done(ish) by feb/march to give us some time to test before the season starts. Cage is being fitted to the shell this month Smile

'Brownpants' is 2011 driver, im 2012, but we have been tempted to ask TA if the car can be the competitor and not the driver in the lower classes due to my shitty work Laughing would mean I drive while home, Brownpants when I'm away.

Got 12+ trackdays to go to next year so to be honest im not really fussed about driving time attack

Class Info here - http://www.timeattack.co.uk/index.php/what-is-time-attack/classing-categories/

Steve-O - Pretty sure Nitrous is banned in CLUB classes, but allowed in Club Pro and Pro.

The Fin - Regs here - Car - http://www.timeattack.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/club-car-regs-2009.pdf , Driver - http://www.timeattack.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2009/06/club-driver-regs-2009.pdf

Seats - IF you have a drivers bucket seat i'm sure it has to be in date. Regs will confirm though.

Matty - You wanting some big TrackScotland stickers down the side Very Happy

Fee is planning to enter..... but not sure if she'll be able to defend her title Laughing I 'think' she's getting punted up a class :s so she'll be comepting with the likes of the ex ZEN car Laughing

Me - same as always. I'll do what I can when I can. My target would be Fee's times from this year. Still think i'd need about 100bhp more to get close!
