As some know I entered the CSL Cup last year in my white CSL, "C5L NO".

Anyway although I had fun I had too many problems with the SMG gearbox, eventually meaning I missed race 1 at Snetterton (due to having no 2nd, 4th or 6th gears) and although I made it out for race 2, I had to change from 3rd gear to 6th gear Laughing Still managed to finish 4th after starting at the back of the grid (only 8 cars in the final race though!!!)

Thought I'd post for anyone who is interested, I'm building a new car for the 2010 season, and I've joined forces with last years winner, Dan Stringfellow, entering with Team Schirmer from Germany. Looking forward to this year, the CSL has now got a Drenth sequential box Cool

I'll hopefully be at Knockhill testing in April, does anyone know of any trackdays I can get on? The new car won't be road legal.

Theres the test day on the 17th April prior to the first SMRC round. Outside that it would probably need to be TrackScotland or someone else organising a session as KH won't let race car + race driver out on SpeedSundays or Hot Marques.

Peter Taddai is having a session on the 27th again Steve. Think you did the session he organised last year.

Is the car a new one? Sold your white one?

Is the sequential manual or padels like your white one? Smile

My confidence is bad enough without letting XR2s overtake me mate!!! Embarassed Laughing

But thanks for the heads up, I'll have a think about that one. I didn't realise Hot Marques had stopped taking racecars on, is that for 2010 or did I miss the rules coming in last year?

I'm at Snetterton the day after unfortunately, otherwise this would have been ideal!

I've basically stripped the CSL down to bare bits, and sold the old shell. I've bought a brand new shell with welded proper cage (its awesome, i'm in love lol) and we've fitted some of the old bits and some new bits to the car. I'm going to try and create a build report with full details. The big add is the sequential gearbox, fingers crossed I get to test drive it in a few weeks Very Happy The HD vids are going to sound awesome!

The sequential is paddles, from a company called KMP in the Netherlands. Again, once its tested I'll post full details. Anything to stop me having to learn heel toe LOL

Hi Chris

Didn't realise you were racing the Minis! Are you back in the Dunlop Great & British this year as well? If so, did you mean Snetterton, as thats the first race of the season I believe?

Here's the vid from Race 1 at Croft: http://www.vimeo.com/6243128

I'm aiming to do a few rounds in the Impreza and Fee the whole season in the R32 GTR.

Yup, Duncan won Club last year and is now in Club Pro.
