Showroom class is my idea. So I get to make the rules.
FMIC is fine. Wink

That'd be the class mine would be in. Cool Full weight, interior, radio etc etc. Was pretty difficult in 2008 when club was anything goes and I was only running 400 bhp, started the season with 380bhp. Laughing

A full production class would be good fun but kind of defeats the purpose of it being about tuning cars. Laughing

Don't think so. As much as I'd love to I just don't have the budget to be competitive. After seeing the cars in club class last year when the rules were changed and comparing my times from the year before there was no point. Sad

It's all about tuning and I don't want (can't afford) to tune. Laughing Laughing

The MSA have taken over TA, is this good or bad for TA? Opinions?

No differnce to Club apart from they need a Non Race NatB. TA had been moving to MSA Blue Book for a while anyway.

All the safety regs are in place, club pro/pro required ARDS etc

Down the line.... who knows Laughing

What are the regs re: fuel for TA in 2010 now its run by the MSA?

"Pump fuel" only and no E85, water/methanol injection allowed either?

Unsure of injection.

Just had a look, it doesn't specifically say "pump fuel" so high octane petrol should be ok as is E85... no Meth though...

Race fuel used to be allowed in Club, but dont think it is now. I have the reg's somewhere (and they are on TA site)

Is E85 not allowed on hills?

From TA 2009 regs. 2010 doesnt need FIA fuel sampling coupling for Club.

Quote:
2. Fuel & Fuel System

2.1 Petrol, diesel and bio ethanol are the only fuels allowed, no exotic fuels such as methanol etc., are permitted as a fuel or as an additive to fuel or water

2.2 All fuel, other liquid or gas filled lines/pipes must be securely fastened every 200mm throughout its length.

2.3 If the boot contains any of the fuel system then the boot must be firewalled.

2.4 Fuel swirl pots, fuel systems, tanks, fillers and pumps must not be installed in the driver‟s compartment.
Any such items must have a firewall or boxing/cover between the driver and equipment, no exceptions. The firewall or boxing/cover must be sealed to prevent passage of fluids and fire.
A fuel-line may be routed through the interior of the car but it must be a continuous (unbroken) metal pipe or braided and should only run through the passenger side of the vehicle.

2.5 All fuel lines and filling devices must be clean and sealed after vehicles are fuelled to ensure no fuel can escape. Dry break fuel and bobble breathing systems are allowed from recognised manufacturers.

2.6 OEM fuel tanks are permitted as are racing fuel tanks and fuel cells.

2.7 If the tank filler is contained in the boot, the boot floor should have drainage holes or the filler neck should have a spillage collector that is draining to the outside of the boot.

2.8 If you are unsure of the specification, manufacturer and conformity of fuel cells, oil catch tanks, firewalls, boxings/covers etc., please ensure you contact the Time Attack scrutineer before attempting to produce or fit these items.

2.9 A means of supplying a fuel sample for methanol testing must be provided if requested.
