No Silverstone next year.

I'll have a look at doing Knockhill myself.

Also fancy a trip to watch at Oulton.
Others too far away to bother about.

Had a read at the 2009 regulations today for the club class. Pretty open really. I think all I would need is the fuel sampler and the Toyo tyres.
Although the 2010 regulations could knock it all on the head when they come out.

From comments made so far the 2010 rules arent going to very different from 2009. Fuel sampler is in the regs but not many have it done! We have it on the Skyline, but never bothered on the Impreza!

There are classes in ClubClass as it is..... but yes... if you enter a Turbo 4WD you are always going to be in with very fast cars... thats the way it is!

Four Wheel Drive (4WD)
Front Wheel Drive (FWD)
Rear Wheel Drive (RWD)
*Normally Aspirated 3000cc and under
*Normall Aspirated 3001cc and above
*These classes are not governed by drive train.

What do you call mahooosive? And what about weight?! I know of a few cars running crazy power last year... but they didnt win... No1 and No2 (duncan and Russ) werent running crazy power (from what i know).

Prob see a lot more FWD Forced and NA this year as its 'easier' to score points and I suppose win.

Think Duncan was running something like 550BHP and 600 LB/FT and Russ was something like 650BHP , these cars and similar specced ones do not belong in the same class as lightly modified cars like mine or yours even, Hence why i think the rules are a shambles too many people willing to exploit the rules to their own advantage for the sake of easy points, not exactly a level playing field is it Confused

It's back to that old arguement about cars being moved up a class if they're too fast.

Maybe it should be based on a cost / spec basis.

The 2 that Adam mentions Duncan and Russ; well I read the Duncan was now regarded as the Zen "B" car with close to 600bhp and their dry sump, etc. And Russ is using a car that won 2 years ago, although i don't know it's spec now. But Russ also said on here that the costs involved to move up a class would be too much.

But then you've got Dunk, AND plenty of others, who think the level that club is at, is too high.

I think I'll leave my car totally standard with a full interior, glass, bodywork; then win the Proper showroom club class. Laughing
