Anyone going to this?

I'm possibly taking the XR2 down, and testing the BMW we use for endurance down South with Andrew.

Do you think we would need to pay the additional driver for the BMW? Or because we will have 2 separate bookings for both cars and both have full bands it will be ok?

But if we were to swap cars say, would we have to pay for additional drivers on both?

I've booked on to this. It might be 3rd time lucky for getting my actual track car to the track (and hopefully back again in one piece).

Chorlton, did you rack sorted? Are you going to make this? If you do look out for the Red 924 and come say hi, be good to meet you.

I didn't on track but went up to meeti Ibiza125 & I kept missing you when you were out or I was helping/getting in the way.

You were certainly going well up the straight the few times I saw you. Very Happy
Next time for sure Wink

That's a shame. Next time for sure. I was taking it steady for most of the session getting to know the car, gave it the beans a few times towards the end. I've put a write up in my project thread if you're interested. Cheers

Was there in the little blue Westfield. Your porker is looking pretty tidy, and looked to be going pretty well each time our paths crossed! Sounded great when I was standing on the pitwall too! Very Happy

Thanks very much. Definitely not in the same league for pace as you and your Westfield, that was very rapid! It's early days for me and the Porker but I feel that the potential is definitely there. It's a total cacophony of noise, smells and sensations sat inside the car, something that will take a while to get used to! It did seem to generate quite a bit of interest, especially when people realised what was under the bonnet Wink

To be fair, the Westie has seen a lot of years of development to get to where it is now, and the 924 is still in the foothills of the curve.

I'll definitely come and say hi next time - always loved the old turbo'd 924 GT cars, and previously looked at doing one of the Renegade LS2 conversions after briefly owning a 944. Rover V8 is a good choice of lump, and lots of expertise (especially in the TVR community) for making the best of them. How long before there's a couple of turbos hanging off the sides?? Wink
