One that has always made me think with fuel cells, don't they shift the CoG up a fair bit if you install them in the car/boot rather than in the stock fuel tank location?

Yup, losing 15kg or so I hope, but with a slight shift in the COG as a compromise

Fee's is fwd of the rear axle, and partially sunk into the floor. I had to rebuild the firewall round the fuel cell. Would do same on mine.

Fee's car is a VERY neutral handling car, so nothing putting me off doing it from experience

where does the weight need to come off? front or rear?

I'm sure they make lightweight ring gears diffs....

google: ring gear lightening

save several kgs there, front and back.

Love to hear you call your lightweights 'barges' hehe

this looks like something I'm going to want myself...

http://www.strangeengineering.net/make-and-model/ford/9in-center-sections-components/labor-services/lighten-new-ring-gear-at-time-of-purchase.html

Should be able to get my local machine shop to do it.

remember and check the Championship and MSA Technical Regs to make sure you are allowed to substitute panel materials.

Have a look at my rear diff mount at the next event you are there its simple and saves a lot of weight. front is where the weight needs to come off but its hard getting it out of the front. I have an 20L tank and its not enough, its down to fumes before the end of warm up and practice, and thats my big tank lol
