I had a great time again. Its been about a year since out a track scotland night and as always the night was perfect.
I was out in my mate's RS4 and had a cracking race with an evo (6dwc???? I think) untill i let him passed and realised that it wasnt that close a race as he drove off into the distance. Dont know what power he had but he could definately drive.
Had a good few chats with TVROLET too. This is exactly what track nights should be like!

Thats the old Format Sales EVO IV.

360-370bhp I think but will weigh a hell of a lot less than an RS4. The pilot has some racing experience too Laughing

Death-rattle-tastic. Rolling Eyes

At least I had my AA card with me.

Ahhh no Sad Fiat coup I guess? We were standing in the pitlane as you came in, I hoped it was maybe just something simple like a tensioner rattling or similar Sad

Got you passing me on the straight at the end of my first (rear-facing) upload mate Smile Just another 2 hours to wait. Sad

I was in the black S4 btw, with micro-cams stuck all over it.

Don't suppose you had the rear-facing cam on when I was following did you? White M3 Very Happy Have a few laps of you in front of me from my in-car but I forgot to take off the stupid air-freshener so it's got a fairly central role Embarassed

LOL, no camera's at the moment. Need to get myself kitted out. First time out in the car, so really just wanted to try and get a feel for it.

Would love to see the video anyway.

Cheers
Alan

My main problem seemed to be that the rear tyres just had no grip. Maybe some toe in at the rear would've helped provide some heat and extra turn-in. The car was behaving itself very well at the front end, no understeer at all, prob cos I was going so slow by the end.

The new brakes were warming the front tyres from the inside Smile Need to replace the copper grease that burned off before they start screeching.

My vmax was 103 and best lap a stunning (!) 75 secs. Pbox data shows me sliding about on all my fastest laps.

The White M3 appears right at the end of the last rear-facing session. Or at least the end of that vid, sorry it wasn't more.

Another awesome event guys, was my first wet track day and I was a tad worried about meeting Mr Tyre Wall (again) but once I got a feel for the grip levels throughout the track, all was good in the hood!

Integra felt brilliant and was keeping up with some of the faster machinery - the joys of front-engined FWD in the rain!

Plus sides to a wet track day - hardly put any wear on my tyres and the brakes were constantly being cooled by the rain!

My power steering failed just as I passed the chequered flag at 8pm, how lucky was that! Hopefully it's just a split hose rather than the pump itself.

Faz.
