managed to get the vbox data from the Mini when down at KH last time...
Marks lap vs mine (our 2 quickest) in a car in fairly similar trim I think
Blue - Mark
Red - AK
Big gain for me seems to be on the brakes at Rocket (0.5s gain)
Mark is quicker for first half of lap
I managed a 1:51.0 in Davids car very early on, which would have been a lot more competitive over the 12hrs Where was the difference? Everywhere ..... but still mostly on the top end (even after fixing issue on the pink car friday night to find about 6mph more on the straights)
Pink car vs Davids car (same drivers)
Blue - Mark
Red - AK
Black - Davids Car (AK)
and a quick image of the Pink car before and after 'fix' - same driver
Red - After fix
Brown - Before fix
night and day difference top end of 3rd/4th gears _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC

If the pink car had been running lean for a while the 'fix' wouldn't return it to original power. Valve and bores would have had a hard time are probably a little worse for wear. IMHO that engine is probably track day spec now _________________ R600 Dubaru

that engine will eventually be dropped into one of the spare cars and its engine 'built'
The engine in the pink car wasnt in for long.... it was from the car thats currently getting built for Fee. I think the engine maybe did 6 races before ROR.... and ~100k road miles LOL _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC

Some post ROR feedback on costs if anyone is considering doing in in 2018.
The 4 of us amassed a spend of ~£7500 all in. That includes EVERYTHING.... prep, support, entry, fuel, food/drink, hotels, travel, LEDs, Radio, brakes, Consumables etc.
so £1875 when split 4 ways.
I think it would be possible for about £1600 with a few things cut back, and a lot of one off purchases (for night racing etc) out of the way.
For reference - the figures quoted for basic car arrive/drive packages for ROR 2017 were in the region of £1800-2000 _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC

Just seen the updates.
0.5's at Rocket? Did I have a parachute hanging out the back? That's nuts. Strange how a large chunk of the time is clawed back on corner exit for the next right hander given I carried much less speed into Rocket. I lose time at that horrible left hander coming doen the hill too, that corner is my nemesis.
Tell you what though, you're right, I think we could trim some of those costs back. For c. £1,600 to £1,800, that's the best fun I've had by a country mile, particularly bearing in mind it was over 4 days. Would be very keen to do it again next year! _________________ MD Racing

you just brake earlier and for longer.
I noticed my line was quite different to Lowell/David here (for the tight left downhill into the right hander) - canny mind if there are any vids with you driving _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC

thinking fwd to ROR 2018... i've had a look at avg pace from stints
1 - 1:56.00 (day into dusk), 32laps
2 - 2:00.10 (into darkness), 29laps
3 - 2:00.70 (dark), 25laps
4 - 1:59.40 (dark), 27laps
5 - 2:03.00 (dark), 28laps
6 - 1:58.00 (dark), 19laps (overnight stop)
7 - 2:05.90 (daylight wet), 27laps
8 - 2:07.10 (daylight wet), 37laps
9 - 2:11.90 (daylight wet to drying), 22laps
10 - 1:56.60 (daylight, drying to dry), 37laps
11 - 1:54.40 (daylight, dry), 37laps
Peak position was 21st. Lowest (starting point) was 32nd
Fastest (race lap in Pink car) lap was a 1:52.792 with ~35l fuel and worn tyres.
Fastest lap of weekend for a mini Cooper was a 1:51.0 in David's car (differences - more straight line pace, and better suited gearing).
A 1:49 or better lap is possible in a mini.
Target pace for drivers should be around 1:52-53 (dry), 2:02 (wet) in the right combination of car _________________ Impreza Race Car, 1200kg, 480bhp - SLS/SMRC
