Good first 'real' outing in the car. Andy Forrest has some in car with you in front... looks a bit sideways over the apex and down into Duffus LOL

55s should be easy with less brakes Smile Looks quick on the straights. I think keep power at Min till you do a 54 Very Happy

Yeah I am far from disappointed Smile

Found the video, yes some later braking and better line into Duffus required!

The gearbox issue raised its head shortly after!

Data geek from SLS R7. 2 of my laps with David Long's 53.2

Black - AK - 55.1 from Practice.
Red - AK - 54.2 from Qualifying.
Blue - DL 53.2 from Qualifying.

I knew the black lap was a good one until I blew it at Clarks. 0.4s 'up' on David's 53.2 lap :O
Can see my lift for the yellows on black trace too.... yet still a 55.1 (John Stevenson beached at Hairpin Very Happy )

I also cocked up Clarks on the red lap :/

Speed Trap Data.... geekety

Round 7 Speed Trap vs Lap Time graphs.

Sorted by TIME

Sorted by SPEED

Rule of thumb for reading these....

- Look at the jagged line on each plot (Blue on SPEED graph, Red for TIME graph)
- The faint dashed line shows a trend line - average if you like.
- If your data point is below the blue trend line for Time on the SPEED graph you are doing well. I.e low/good laptime for the speed reached by car.
- If your data point is below the red trend line for Speed on the TIME graph you are doing well. i.e good/fast lap time in relation to cars straight line speed.

You can also use the plots to suggest target times.

i.e if you know you can cross the speed trap at 100mph, you would expect a decent lap time in the region of ~60s (average).

As always... this is just a guide, and not a sure fire scientific formula to gauge performance.

Backs up exactly for me, quick on the straights, not quick on the corners Smile
